Why the MOSFA Project

The MOSFA (MOSt FAmous person) Project took shape during a muggy summer night early in July this year (2007). I was playing around with my PC thinking about how I could have rendered fruitful all the time spent in front of a computer screen.

My thoughts went to the Google’s inventors, who made a living (and what living), with a plain page with a logo, a textbox and a submit button and I thought: “It must be something simple. It does not need to be complex!”

Then I start thinking about something simple and, recalling the survey for the New 7 Wonders, I thought about finding out who is the most famous person of all times as they did for the wonders… The idea seemingly popped out of nowhere. It just kind of happened. I scribbled it down and within about 10 minutes a picture of what needed to be done had emerged.

The idea was (actually is) to do something anybody else had ever done using the possibilities offered by Internet. It does not want to be one of the surveys scattered around the world, the goal is to set up “The Survey” - in capitals.
